T-Rex Develops Web Portal for eCP Program
Reston, VA (April 2005) - T-Rex has played a key role in
the design and development of an intranet web portal for the eCP program. The
portal, called MODNet, acts as the central communication point between all
levels of program and customer staff, significantly aiding in the collection and
distribution of vital information. eCP executives and members of the CBPMO have
praised its value, recognizing the time and cost efficiencies the tool provides.
The current release, version 3.0, offers several cutting-edge features,
including:
- Dynamic content
- Distributed content management
- A layered security model
- Aggregated views of enterprise information through portlets
- Integration with COTS program management tools
- User content customization (MyPage)
This release was successfully
rolled out to the eCP program on April 1st. Plans are currently being made to
increase user productivity by adding more customized portlets (or features) that
integrate with other program management tools and databases, such as shared
calendars, action items, risks and issues, and schedule milestones.
