T-Rex Assists on Development of ERA System for
NARA
Reston, VA (August 2006) - In January
2006, T-Rex was asked to join the Lockheed Martin team to develop a winning bid
to build the Electronic Records Archive (ERA) for the National Archives and
Records Association (NARA). T-Rex
software engineers worked tirelessly with Lockheed Martin team to successfully
win the 6 year, $308 million contract.
T-Rex is currently working on the production phase of the program,
assisting with development, testing and providing critical database architecture
support. System development will
occur over the next 6 years with the Initial Operation Capability slated for
delivery in fall 2007. Each year
approximately 20% of the functionality will be added until Full Operating
Capability is delivered in 2011. The first Critical Design Review will occur in
late September. T-Rex will continue to support the ERA program throughout its
entire system lifecycle.
For more information on the
progress of the system development, visit the NARA ERA website at http://www.archives.gov/era/index.html.
